Since its founding, Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg has stood for designs of the highest artistic quality. The manufactory has remained true to this aspiration over three centuries through close cooperation with the most famous artists of their times.

With the Commedia dell'Arte figures created during the rococo period by the sculptor, Franz Anton Bustelli from Ticino, Nymphenburg was able to establish its world reputation, a reputation that was built on by Bustelli's successor, Dominikus Auliczek, and which was further extended in the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century by such people as Friedrich von Gärtner, Adelbert Niemeyer and Wolfgang von Wersin. To this day, famous artists and designers remain responsible for pioneering porcelain designs: Konstantin Grcic, Hella Jongerius, Reed Kram and Clemens Weisshaar, Gustavo Lins and Ted Muehling develop objects that position Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg at the highest of international levels. Accordingly, Nymphenburg porcelain has over the years received many international awards for the unique association between elaborate and artistic shapes and designs.
