Commedia dell'Arte – Exhibition Paris
Following the premiere in Munich, the Commedia dell'Arte – Couture Edition show opened on 2 July 2008 at the residence of the French ambassador in Paris, the historic Palais Beauharnais.
Celebrities from the worlds of business, science, the arts and politics enjoyed an unusual opening at the world-famous embassy, which was built by the architect, Germain Boffrand, in 1713 on the left bank of the Seine. From 1803, Eugène de Beauharnais (1781-1824), stepson of Napoléon Bonaparte, had the rooms furnished in the early Empire style by the most important artists and craftsmen of the time.
Listed as a "Monument historique" by the French state in 1951, the Palais Beauharnais has been the residence of the German ambassador in Paris since 1968.
