'NYMPHENBURG PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY' PHOTO BOOK
Nymphenburg is unique as the last pure porcelain manufactory in the world. But what is concealed behind the historic walls of the castle's north turret? What makes "Made in Nymphenburg" so famous, sought-after, and above all, unparalleled? A glance at this gorgeous photo book sheds some light on this question. In the middle of the picturesque castle garden are unique workshops such as can now be found only here: the historic paste mill for manufacturing the porcelain paste on-site, the moulding shop and turning shop, but also the painting shop in which historical and contemporary patterns are created. Memento Mori with beetle motive – Limited Edition 2012
This is already the third year of appearance of the Edition Memento Mori from the master workshops of Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg, which are limited to 25 pieces and purely handmade. In 2012, a flamboyant diversity of beetles and insects decorate the finely-worked skulls with their distinctive eye shaping. more »
Wim Delvoye 'Au Louvre'
In 2010, Wim Delvoye worked with Bustelli Twisted to produce a contemporary interpretation of the masterpieces from Franz Anton Bustelli's Commedia dell'Arte. The work of this Belgian conceptual artist can now be seen in a large works show for Nymphenburg in the Louvre (31 May to 17 September 2012). more »
Saâdane Afif: The Fairytale Recordings
In the Schinkel Pavillon in Berlin, Nymphenburg in cooperation with the RaebervonStenglin gallery presented a performance of the artist Saâdane Afif with items of Nymphenburg porcelain: The Fairytale Recordings. It is the first work the Marcel Duchamp award-winner (2009) has done for Nymphenburg; indeed, it is the first time he has ever worked with porcelain at all. more »
Art Project: Jürgen Partenheimer
On the occasion of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s 125th birthday, the internationally renowned artist Jürgen Partenheimer is opening his eponymous site-specific exhibition for the Lemke House in Berlin. Partenheimer’s concept in this house, the last residential property constructed by Mies van der Rohe in Germany, includes works on paper, painting, and sculpture. Together with the artist, vases designed especially for the rooms as “sculptures”, with the title “Kalliope, 2011”, were drawn up in the masters’ workshops of Nymphenburg and manufactured entirely by hand. more »

Prix du Design 2011
The Prix du Design is regarded as the super yacht industry's Oscar. Many celebrity owners attended the award ceremony staged in the port of Monte Carlo on 23 September. The trophy, a volute bowl designed by Ted Muehling and handcrafted at Nymphenburg, was awarded to Eric Benson for his newly launched superyacht“Satori”(Heesen Yachts) by HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco and His Majesty King Juan Carlos of Spain. more »
