Blue Panther 2011

This year, the Bavarian Television Award in the form of a porcelain panther from the masters’ workshops of Nymphenburg shall be going to Andrea Sawatzki, Frederick Lau, Lisa Wagner and Henning Baum. Iris Berben shall receive the trophy as the award of honour for her life works.

The TV awards have been presented every year since 1989 by the Bavarian State Government for outstanding achievements in German television. Productions from the areas of TV films, television plays, TV series, entertainment programmes, informational programming, cultural programmes and educational programmes are all decorated here. Additionally, the Premier of Bavaria Award of Honour shall be presented.

The award symbol is the Blue Panther, hand-made by the porcelain masters of Nymphenburg, on which both the details of the award ceremony and the name of the award-winner are to be seen.
