Philipp Baron von Redwitz

CEO 1975 – 1982

In 1976, Philipp Baron von Redwitz, as the CEO, replaced Nymphenburg's old circular kiln with a shuttle kiln, refurbished some of the rooms in the manufactory's palace and fitted out the "Blaue Salon". In 1979, von Redwitz introduced the Pierrot as the trophy for the Bavarian Film Award. The chess set created by Professor Kern in 1982 represents one of the most important designs of the time.
