Aquatic animals · Hedgehog-fish yellow
|Detail||Hand painted, Vers. I|
|Design||Luise Terletzki-Scherf, 1958|
The question of whether Luise Terletzki-Scherf has ever seen a porcupine fish in real life is without consequence. As in her imagination she created variations of the tropical sea dwellers that are probably more magnificent than anything nature itself could have thought up. This blowfish that is six centimetres in height, whose rich colours range from canary yellow to a slight yellow green, is a shining example of this. The colour of this exotic creature that was created in 1958 is applied free-hand in the master workshops of the manufactory for each individual example.
