One of the peculiar features of the Free State of Bavaria is the fact that just a hint more blue always seems to come into play: in the magnificence of the home skies, the blood of the rich and powerful, but also in the compilation of the menu. The best example of this is the Blaukraut (blue cabbage) which forms the backdrop against which Luise Terletzki-Scherf set one of her hare figures in 1960. Purple, turquoise blue and dark blue are mixed and applied free-hand to each of the shapely cabbage leaves. Can you imagine a more beautiful home?
