Mice

One of the biggest stars of the manufactory? Measures just eight centimetres!

The more lifelike a representation of an animal form was in the art nouveau style, the more successful it was with the public. Yet being famous is not a matter of size. We’ve known that at least since the time of Napoleon Bonaparte. So Karl, the little mouse by Wilhelm Neuhäuser, is carving out a great career. And that’s just one example from the manufactory’s star repertoire. Numerous animal groups on the theme of the social behaviour of mice have been created at Nymphenburg since 1910.
