Admittedly, this cute porcelain animal might give people with a mouse phobia a quick scare. After all, the underglaze painting gives the diminutive animal an astonishingly lifelike appearance right down to its skin, hair, and the look in its eye. If it were not for the white porcelain plinth with the characteristic blue-and-white coat of arms stamp, you could be forgiven for thinking that the little rodent is on its way to the next food source.
