Small figurine with long robe: The trim young lad with the dashing, full head of hair measures just 9.5 centimetres. His garments are so intricately decorated that the painter needs days to complete them. This means, en détail: Firstly, the green must be applied very evenly. Then any white circles are erased and fine purple points applied with paint. Thus the decoration requires more than just a steady hand; it needs the masterful precision of a porcelain painter.
