    Product number 00.957
Detail Hand painted, Vers. II purple-green
Design Franz Anton Bustelli, approx. 1757
    Height 13 cm

This timeless beauty took a good three months to produce. The graceful Chinese woman is wearing a gold-trimmed dress with a Native Indian floral pattern, a short-sleeved bodice with dotted rosettes and a bold scarf around her neck. The turn-up collar and her hair ornaments have a subtle diamond pattern and dotted golden flowers on a salmon-coloured background. Not a bad trousseau, which Franz Anton Bustelli gave her in 1757. Even the pure charm of her devoted expression to her Creator deserves respect – and of course the craftsmen who still make this figurine in the master workshops today.
