The ponytail at the back of his head, the long moustache, as well as the flowers at the feet of the lasciviously lounging man: a modeller realises all these fine details in the master workshops, one by one, and completely freehand. Yet first, one of the experienced sculptors has to carefully assemble this figure from more than 20 individually cast elements. You would certainly not know it looking at this 12-centimetre-tall sculpture. Instead, the Chinese Man with Teacup cheekily reigns supreme on his rocaille volute, which is at once his seat and pedestal.
