The bow around his waist, the sheet of paper in his hand: Sometimes it is precisely the small things that make a figurine so special. Franz Anton Bustelli was master of this art in design. Nymphenburg's master workshops are still responsible for its realisation today. Their strength lies in the execution of details: The singing mouth, the sleeves that have ridden up from dancing – they are shown to particular advantage especially in the unpainted Rococo figurines. Something that royalty also recognised, for: In all historical periods, the ruling princes had their favourite figurines made in pure white porcelain.
