Chinoiserie · White · Chinese boy with chime

    Product number 00.972
    Detail Ivory, glazed
Design Franz Anton Bustelli, approx. 1757
    Height 12 cm

With serpent players, chime players, a mandolinist and even singers, Franz Anton Bustelli's Chinese Temple group is an illustrious group of characters of all ages. This still rather young musician is enthusiastically beating his mallet against the bells. His instrument, as well as the mallet, are among the fine details that are formed individually by hand in the master workshops. However, this stage comes after the handmade figure is assembled from its cast parts.
