As the last exclusive porcelain maker, Nymphenburg still produces its own porcelain mass today, as it did 260 years ago. The formula? A state secret! Yet without it, it would barely be possible to make figures like this Chinese Man with Chime. The bells he is carrying and the mallet in his right hand are made individually and freehand. Particularly fine, elastic porcelain mass is required for such procedures.
