    Lotos

Wolfgang von Wersin created Lotus in 1932 and it is still a popular classic among the workshop’s services today. Again and again, his strictly reduced lines have inspired artists and designers to come up with new decorative patterns. In 2011, Vienna-based industrial designer Sebastian Menschhorn gave it a new look based on purple flowers of life. The stylised blossoms and capsules stretch out from extended stems across the smooth porcelain like floral tattoos. The oriental motifs represent growth, sensuality and wealth and can be found on plates and cups, tureens and teapots. But it is the individual brush strokes which transform the individual, hand-sketched flowers painted in our master workshops into a poetic tattoo.
