The successful collaboration of Wolfgang von Wersin and Nymphenburg between 1920 and 1960 produced some of the most successful table services the workshop still produces today. This means that creating a new child for a classic such as Lotus is always a challenge, even for experienced designers. It is something Vienna designer Sebastian Menschhorn has recently achieved with flying colours. He has added a stylised floral “tattoo” in dark purple to the glistening white porcelain with its platinum trim.
