Hella Jongerius: Phoenix - Reborn Beauty

At the centre of the exhibition"Phoenix - reborn beauty" in Die Neue Sammlung in Munich is a table.A table that connects generations: For people who gather around it andporcelain pieces with which it is set. All the plates that adorn this tablehave a history. Some were inherited, others given away, others bought at thesecond-hand market. Now these porcelain pieces are getting a new future; thanksto two new designs created by Hella Jongerius for Nymphenburg. With thisnarrative installation, the internationally award-winning designer andPorzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg invite visitors to rediscover the theme ofre-use - in terms of design, sustainability and the future.
