Jürgen Partenheimer, who consistently develops his work from abstraction, is one of the outstanding artists of his generation. In the 80s he became internationally known through participation in the biennials in Paris, São Paulo and Venice. Participation in exhibitions showed his work at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the National Gallery of Washington; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the Singapore Art Museum; the Museo de Arte Contemporanea, Madrid and the Museum Ludwig in Cologne. Partenheimer was the guest of honor at the Villa Massimo in Rome. In 2011 he set up a spatial exhibition in the Mies van der Rohe House in Berlin with sculptural vessels from the "Kalliope" edition for the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory.
