Rolf Sachs was born in Switzerland in 1955 to a German businessman and a French mother. Inspired by the art that surrounded him since childhood, he began to work artistically in the late eighties after studies in the USA and Great Britain. His work ranges from furniture, lighting, objects and installations, stage sets for opera and ballet to photography and architectural projects. Sachs' interdisciplinary approach has formed the basis for creative commissions for companies and institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Les Ballets and Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg, Fortis Watches and others. Since 2018, Sachs lives and works in Rome.
