FLOWER PROJECTION - AUTUMN
Intervention by THE GOETZ COLLECTION in the ART Room of the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory
Beauty and usefulness, aesthetics and everyday life, nature and culture - all of this is combined in the garden that the Swiss artist duo Peter Fischli David Weiss created in Münster in 1997 for the Sculpture Projects. For their 2-channel slide installation "Flower Projection, Autumn" (1998), Peter Fischli David Weiss photographed this garden in late summer and combined two motifs each to create 162 double-exposed slides. The viewer is immersed in a sea of colorful flowers, lush green leaves, overripe fruit and is drawn in by the cinematographic effect, which is almost impossible to escape.
On the occasion of the Munich Flower Power Festival, the Goetz Collection presents “Flower Projection, Autumn” (1998) by Peter Fischli David Weiss as an intervention in the Art Room of the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory. Duration of the exhibition: February 3rd – 18th March 2023.
