A sculptural model is often preceded by numerous movement studies. Even if a representation is captured in the seemingly fleeting passage stage of a process, a good animal sculpture captures the living in the entirety of its movement play. Also in the delicate robin Emil according to a design by Theodor Kaerner from 1912, the liveliness and character were harmoniously captured. The detailed structure of the biscuit surface gives it an extra temperament.
