Gustavo Lins

Gustavo Lins, born in Brazil in 1961, settled in Paris in the early 1990s after studying architecture. There he made a name for himself with unusual designs for Agnès B, Jean-Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Kenzo and Louis Vuitton. Under his own label, Atelier Gustavolins, he has been designing and distributing a unisex prêt-à-porter collections since 2004. Since 2011, he has been a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, Paris. For Nymphenburg, Lins created a series of handmade porcelain busts made of draped fabrics, satin white busts between garment and sculpture, which were presented for the first time at the Haute Couture Show Paris at the Palais Royal on July 3, 2007.
Porzellan Manufaktur nymphenburg
Nymphenburg ist die letzte Reinstmanufaktur ihrer Art. Seit der Gründung im Jahre 1747 wird in der Manufaktur des Bayerischen Königshauses die hohe Kunst der Porzellanherstellung gepflegt. Manu factum bedeutet dort bis zum heutigen Tage: komplett von Hand gemacht in Techniken, die von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben und bewahrt werden.
