Michele Oka Doner

Over five decades, American artist Michele Oka Doner has created an artistic oeuvre inspired by the fascinating forms of nature. It includes sculptures that are in collections of major museums worldwide, such as the design of monumental public spaces - for example, the Herald Square Subway Station in New York, the Miami International Airport or the Sacramento Central Library. She also designs everyday objects such as jewelry and furniture. For Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg, Oka Doner created a cycle of works in porcelain and terracotta in 2008/2010, including the installation "Down to Earth", which was shown in the historic kilns of the manufactory. Michele Oka Doner lives and works in New York and Miami Beach, Florida.
Porzellan Manufaktur nymphenburg
