Born in 1962 in Hochdorf, Switzerland, jewelry designer Patrik Muff grew up as the son of artisans in a highly creative environment surrounded by hammers, nails and saws. After completing an apprenticeship in goldsmithing, he studied art in Cologne, where he was influenced by important representatives of the art scene. This was followed by educational travels to New York and London, the establishment of the jewellery store “4. König” with Klaus Arck and Marie von Chamier and positions as an instructor at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences and at the Salzburg Summer Academy. He has been running his jewellery studio in Munich for over 20 years. He created two jewellery lines for Nymphenburg: Essentials, inspired by historical designs in the Manufactory and Treasures, which plays with mystical elements of oceanic cultures.
