As an industrial ceramics model technician, you will make models and molds from plaster or plastic for the manufacturing of our porcelain products. The task in our factory is extremely varied and places high demands on the applicant. As an industrial ceramics model technician, you are the link between product development and production.
As a prospective industrial ceramics model technician, you will learn how to implement designs during your 3-year training.
You will create models and samples from plaster or plastic, which will then take on the desired shape for the product. These can be plates and cups or simply figures or art objects. The dimensions must correspond to the original specifications of our artists - every angle, every curve.
Every mistake in model making is transferred to the product and should therefore not be allowed to happen in the first place. Once the model is finished, the mold is created into which the ceramic mass is poured, dried in drying systems and then fired.
At the vocational school in Selb, Upper Franconia, you will be prepared for practical work in the company in block courses and learn the theory of porcelain production.
Only a few apprentices nationwide learn this exact profession. In addition to high-quality training in one of the world's best manufacturers, you have real career prospects with us.
