Bossing
At bossing, multi-part figurines and objects from Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg are given their final shape. Following the original patterns, the individual parts are joined together with the liquefied porcelain mass, and freely modeled trimmings such as leaves and blossoms, garlands or thorns, are attached by hand with a scalpel to hedges, trees, crucifixes or tureens. Finally, the embossers retouch the finest seams and work out plastic details such as hands, facial features and surfaces with modeling tools.

Nymphenburg ist die letzte Reinstmanufaktur ihrer Art. Seit der Gründung im Jahre 1747 wird in der Manufaktur des Bayerischen Königshauses die hohe Kunst der Porzellanherstellung gepflegt. Manu factum bedeutet dort bis zum heutigen Tage: komplett von Hand gemacht in Techniken, die von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben und bewahrt werden.
