Mr. Konstantin Grcic
Konstantin Grcic is one of the most renowned designers in the world. After studying at the Royal College of Art in London, he founded the Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design office in Munich in 1991, and has lived and worked in Berlin since 2018. Grcic designs furniture, lighting and products for well-known design companies such as Agape, Cappelini, Magis and Flos. His formally simplified products impress with an extraordinary combination of rigor and humor and are represented in well-known international design collections such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York or the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris. For Nymphenburg, Grcic developed independent objects from seemingly unimportant objects: Porcelain boxes that are reminiscent of plaster molds, salt and pepper shakers in the shape of electrical insulator bells and the “Haute Couture” tea service.
